Love & Romance

Happy Friday Everyone!
Here today for
*Love & Romance*

Today I have put together a really simple little tut on how I made my very easy little bag (that could be suitable for many occasions)
I have used the collection Work & Play - Love & Romance avaible on a CD or as a full download

I wanted to do a bag around 6.5 inches in height so cut some pink card stock to start
I then cut the following elements mounting the L plates onto the already cut card

The pink jaggedy bits are to assemble the bag together - these do not have to be neat - I used to spend forever trying to be as neat as , until Nikky pointed out no-one see's them !! there on the inside - doh of course they are

I then glued the bag together - using my not so perfect jaggedy bits

Then the fun totally begins

Glueing all the little elements in place and seeing your bag come to life
I like to also use a few foam tabs to add some depth
Plenty of sparkle, glitter and glossy accents

(I also added a couple of feathers and a little lace)

and here it is - fit for any bride to be

Lily Bug Love Bag

Happy Thursday and welcome back to my blog for my second post today
Check back to my previous post to welcome

This time I have made a simple little bag using the lovely Lily Bug Love Hello you can find her as a digi here. But more importantly you cann get the whole collection on a CD here or as a complete download here, they really are value for money

I adore making bags so very easy and printing them off and cutting myself means I can make them any size I wish, this one stands at 6.5 inches perfect for some little gifts.

The main ladybird is an emblie that I have made much larger, printed out and then cut , I also lined this with some Kraft card so it is very sturdy and stands proud
I love the decorating part, and seeing it all come together ,
Ohhhh a collection of these for a little girls party for her friends to take home a piece of cake and a few sweeties........perfect...

The ideas I have with this collection are endless, Pop back on Saturday to see some more of Lily

RAWRRRRRRR

Happy Monday Everyone
I'm back to share another RAWR project with you
from the fantastic New collection from Polkadoodles

I was inspired to make this card by the sentiment - It just really is my cup of tea and never fails to make me giggle!

So the idea was that the animals were hidden until you opened the card fully

and out they pop on there little steps ( I added them with foam tabs for extra pop)

I love all the little characters they really are the cutest. The one I have used on my card is Riding High - can be brought as a stand alone digi here - I used the complete download from here (also available on CD) - Now this should really come with the warning *spoilt for choice* because you really are - The paper , the rocks, flowers , foilage etc etc and tons and tons more! all on one mammouth collection. I can not begin to tell you the ammount I have made with this collection and I have only had it just over a week - as I am making one thing, I spot something new and my mind is whirling on the next project - so be warned there will be lots more makes to see from me xx

Winter Birthday

Happy Friday Everyone!
Here today for
*Winter Birthday*

For my make for this challenge I went with winter colours of Blue, and made a cute owl bag perfect for a Birthday
I used the template from Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun , and re-sized to 65% before cutting out. I used pale blue card stock to make the bag shell. I used some papers from the same collection and also some from Picknix 3 Nordic Winter.
The presents, cake, and heart button are from Winston Collection
The Bow and Flowers from Octavia Moonfly Collection
and the sentiment from Rose Budd Collection
What a mix and match I just love using all different elements from the collections.

I finished off using a little Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass on the sentiment .
White Shimmer detail sparkle on flower centers

Wink of Stella on cake, heart and nose (love a little sparkle)

Two googly eyes and a feather to finish

There was an owl
who lived in an oak.
The more he heard,
the less he spoke;
the less he spoke,
the more he heard-
We all should be
like that wise old bird.

For my colour inspiration I used this palette, along with the following colours

Skin 4125, 4150, 3250, 4135
Others, 4110, 4115, 3120, 3210, 3245

Sticks & Bones - In The Village

By now you must have seen the fab-u-lush new collection from Polkadoodles
Sticks & Bones
You can find it in the store right here
You can find a full download, A CD, or even smaller downloads inbetween, how cool is that - plenty to fit everyone's budget

I have made a few projects with this new collection but one thing that really stood out for me were the houses , so perfect for the little people and the Dino's

I started off by cutting out a house for the card I was going to make *tick tock* as soon as my scissors started cutting the old grey matter was whirring and .......a village was created in my head.

This is one of the biggest projects I have made.......yet ............... measured this morning at 18 inches across.... I cut most of it by hand, but I gave in on the rock floor 4 x A4 pages was enough to send anyone scurrying for there cutters.

I used a piece of corrugated cardboard for the base , (my cats were most upset surely the box I was cutting up was for them??) and made little bases from Kraft card to stick to the houses so they stood  upright.

Then attached lots of fun dino and little people........and started on the floor - in hindsight (always a good thing) I should have covered the floor first with a greyish paper and built the rock floor on it, Oh no not I , the rocks had to cover the cardboard before I could begin... I used lots of foam pads to raise the rocks at different levels.

I thought I had completed my village but after a disastarous day yesterday - I fell out of love with my camera! I sent some photos to our Nikky - who gave me the fantastic idea of adding a vulcano and a huge TRex OMG it totally rocked and finished of my project
I so hope you like it

Sticks & Bones - Part 2

Hands up.... Who saw my post earlier today
You missed it?
Never mind catch it here , Full with my first project and lots of info on this stunning new release.

These are my letter boxes spelling DINO - I almost lost the O completly as I got carried away with the decorating.
I cut the letters on my portrait in Kraft, and then struggled to glue them together  lol - I love them but dont like assembling them.

Once that was out the way it was full steam ahead
Each letter was covered with a different fun paper

I sat them on a Kraft platform which I covered with leafs and bones
I then added a multitude of fun characters

I added in a few tree's, some eggs, rocks ect
This is going to sit proudly in my craft room
